A brief explanation of the title is in order. "The New Frontier" is borrowed from the concluding chapter of The Evolution of God in Human Imagination. That chapter provides the coda, as it were, for a history where the idea of God changed over time. Although Christian leaders came to assume prerogatives that would earlier be seen as those of God's, human beings became less accountable. The chapter seeks to alert readers to, and focus attention on, the remarkable age into which we have already entered. It is an age in which artificial intelligence (AI) will come to dominate our lives.

In addition to promoting Dr. Nelson's writings and his philanthropic initiatives, the website will seek to update and engage readers in the challenges and opportunities of the new age. As such, we hope to bring updates and facilitate discussions on the subject beginning in 2019.

GERSHAM NELSON

Professor. Author. Thinker. Historian.

As an educator, Gersham Nelson has inspired the quest for and application of  knowledge to advance the wellbeing of  individuals and communities.  His passion for learning and helping others to explore and acquire a better understanding of the world and our place in it casts him in many different roles: author, thinker, and creative innovator. In his most recent book, The Evolution of God in Human Imagination:The Judeo Christian Path and Beyond, he shares some insights about the foundation of Christianity and its prospects for the future.  This well-documented work has shocked some readers, relieved others of guilt, provided  answers to some long-standing questions, and inspired new and challenging questions. Above all, this timely book suggests that human survival and ongoing success will depend on our willingness to assume responsibility for our collective wellbeing and that of the planet.
